BROWNIES -------- Stolen from a box of Baker's chocolate, slightly honed over the years by me. (I think that mainly I reduced the sugar.) 1) Melt: 4 squares unsweetened chocolate 3/4 cup butter (or margarine, but why?) Let cool. 2) Beat until lemon-coloured: 3 eggs 3) Add gradually to eggs: 1-1/2 cup granulated sugar Beat until thick. 4) Stir in melted chocolate mixture. 5) Fold in: 3/4 cup flour 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, usually) 6) Pour into a greased 2L (8") pan. Bake at 350 deg. for 35-40 minutes.
